Code of conduct in interpersonal contacts

Within our institution, we strive for a safe environment for everyone, in which everyone acts and is treated with respect, and in which transgressive behavior is not tolerated. We have a code of conduct within the university of applied sciences to ensure that everyone feels welcome, at home, challenged and safe and that everyone is given equal opportunities.

Read the Code >>

By transgressive behavior we mean any behavior that violates personal or generally applicable values and/or norms, crosses boundaries and consciously or unconsciously causes or threatens to cause damage to another person, the environment or oneself. Crossing a personal boundary is always subjective. Only the person concerned can therefore judge whether certain behavior is undesirable or transgressive. Transgressive behavior includes bullying, sexual harassment, violence, stalking and discrimination. This enumeration is not exhaustive.

If students experience transgressive behavior, they can turn to the central confidential advisers for a listening ear and, if desired, further follow-up. Students can also contact the ombudsperson of their study program.
